Description: Proprieta Sperino Lessona is a full-bodied red wine from the Alto Piemonte region of Northern Italy. This is an elegant Burgundy-style Nebbiolo from marine soils in the Lessona DOC. The estate is owned by Paolo di Marchi of Isole e Olena fame. The Nebbiolos from Lessona soils are regarded as having softer tannins than those of the Langhe. In the Sperino Lessona this translates to a perfumed, velvety, finely structured wine with great length. The wine is matured for 32 months in old oak casks before release.
