Pian del Ciampolo is their self-described “wine for all occasions” and, whilst in many respects it lives up to that moniker, it is not without benefit to perhaps tuck a few away. It is made from the classic Tuscany varieties of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino and the supreme 2018 vintage exhibits deliciously rich, dark fruit, wild herb highlights and tightly coiled savoury depth.
