Mars Kasei + GB 40% 70cl
Mars Kasei Bottling Note
Alas, this whisky isn't really from the planet Mars, but from the Mars Shinshu distillery, which is just as exciting! It is Japan's highest whisky distillery at just under 800 metres, so it's nearly made it to space. 'Kasei' is the Japanese word for Mars, and the whisky is made from a blend of both malt and grain whiskies, married from a variety of barrels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: White flowers and ripe white stone fruit, with just a whisper of smoke.
Palate: Fresh green apple intertwined with light smoky notes, a drizzle of fragrant honey alongside waffles with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
Finish: Vanilla and citrus on the finish, think lemon tart.
