Description: Kleine Zalze Cellar Selection Cabernet Sauvignon has a classic, multi-layered Cabernet nose, featuring ripe blackcurrant and strong ripe blackberry fruit together with chocolate and spice. On the palate, there is a hint of ripe blackcurrant together with liquorice and cedar spice.
70% of the grapes were harvested from vineyards on our Groote Zalze and Kleine Zalze farms and 30% from old vine Durbanville and Helderberg vineyards. One third of the wine was fermented in open epoxy cement tanks and the remaining 66% was fermented in closed stainless steel tanks went through malolactic fermentation in old barrels. The wine matured for 14 months in fine grain French oak barrels.
