Description: Gebal is crafted exclusively from locally grown, hand-picked, and carefully selected Cabernet Franc grapes, vinified to Meridiana’s exacting standards. The name Gebal (modern-day Byblos) pays homage to the ancient Phoenician port city, believed to be the first city built by Cronus and one of the world’s oldest inhabited places. Like Malta’s capital, Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Byblos holds historical significance and is among its twin cities.

This deep ruby-red wine, with a purple rim, boasts complex ripe berry aromas, full-bodied fruit flavors, well-rounded tannins, and a long, lingering finish. Aged for 12 months in French oak barriques and an additional 9 months in the bottle, it is ready to enjoy now but will continue to evolve with further ageing.
